Welcome to EzGoal ("App", "Service", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the EzGoal mobile application and related services. Please read these Terms carefully before using our Service.

By downloading, installing, or using EzGoal, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

1. Description of Service

EzGoal is a habit tracking and goal management application designed to help users build positive habits and achieve personal goals through accountability systems, including:

  • Habit Tracking: Create and track daily, weekly, or custom interval habits with check-in functionality.
  • Goal Management: Set goals with deadlines, break them into actionable steps, and track progress.
  • Accountability System: Voluntary stake-based motivation system where users can set personal accountability stakes.
  • Virtual Credits & Rewards: Earn virtual credits for completing habits and maintaining streaks.
  • Reminders & Notifications: Customizable notifications and calendar integration for habit reminders.
  • Premium Features ("Pro"): Enhanced features available through subscription.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use EzGoal. If you are under 18, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service. By using EzGoal, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Maintain the security of your password and account.
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

  • Violation of these Terms.
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity.
  • Extended periods of inactivity.

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

4. Virtual Credits and Accountability System

4.1 Virtual Credits

  • Credits earned within EzGoal are virtual rewards with no real-world monetary value.
  • Credits cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to other users, or redeemed outside the app.
  • We reserve the right to modify the credit system at any time.

4.2 Accountability Stakes

  • Stakes set by users are voluntary motivational tools.
  • The "debt" system is a gamification feature designed to encourage accountability.
  • Any charitable contributions mentioned are processed separately and are subject to our donation policies.

4.3 No Gambling

EzGoal is not a gambling service. All monetary references within the app relate solely to motivational accountability features and do not constitute gambling, betting, or wagering.

5. Pro Subscription

5.1 Subscription Terms

  • Pro subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) as selected at purchase.
  • Payment will be charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

5.2 Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's account settings.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.

5.3 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. You will be notified of any price changes before they take effect.

6. User Content

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create, including:

  • Habit titles and descriptions
  • Goal information and notes
  • Uploaded images and photos

6.2 License Grant

By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

6.3 Content Restrictions

You agree not to upload content that:

  • Is illegal, harmful, or offensive.
  • Infringes on intellectual property rights.
  • Contains malware or malicious code.
  • Violates the privacy of others.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service.
  • Reverse engineer or decompile the app.
  • Create multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes.
  • Abuse the referral or credit systems.
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other users.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Rights

EzGoal and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by EzGoal and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8.2 Feedback

Any feedback, comments, or suggestions you provide regarding the Service may be used by us without any obligation to compensate you.

9. Third-Party Services

EzGoal may integrate with third-party services including:

  • Supabase: For authentication and data storage.
  • Google Sign-In: For account authentication.
  • Apple App Store / Google Play: For payments and subscriptions.
  • Calendar Services: For reminder integration.

Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

10. Disclaimers

10.1 "As Is" Service

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10.2 No Guarantee

We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
  • Results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable.
  • Any errors in the Service will be corrected.

10.3 Health Disclaimer

EzGoal is a productivity and habit-tracking tool, not a medical or mental health service. Consult appropriate professionals for health-related advice.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EZGOAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless EzGoal and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of:

  • Your use of the Service.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which EzGoal operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through:

  1. Informal Resolution: Contact us first to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
  2. Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
  3. Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class actions.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:

  • Posting the new Terms within the app.
  • Updating the "Last Updated" date.
  • Sending a notification through the app (for significant changes).

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and EzGoal regarding your use of the Service.
